Here are some guidelines to help as you prepare your items for the sale. To see what is acceptable and not acceptable for the sale, view the Acceptable Items page.

Supplies Needed

HANGERS – in order to protect your clothing items, we only accept plastic hangers. You can purchase hangers from from Wal-Mart, Target, or Rhea Lana's Amazon Storefront..

STRING TAGS – Avery White Marking Tags Strung (size 1.75 x 1.093 inches) are required on each item to affix our barcode labels. You can purchase string tags from Wal-Mart, office supply stores, Rhea Lana's Amazon Storefront..

SAFETY PINS – You can purchase large quantities of safety pins from the Rhea Lana's Amazon Storefront..

BARCODE LABELS – If you would like to print your barcodes at home, you'll need adhesive address labels size 1"x2 5/8" (30/page). You can purchase labels from Wal-Mart, Target, office supply stores, or Rhea Lana's Amazon Storefront.. All barcode labels must be printed in color.

OTHER SUPPLIES – You’ll also need re-sealable bags (for shoes, small toys, etc.), masking tape, scotch tape, and sharpies. You can purchase other supplies from Wal-Mart, Target, office supply stores, or Rhea Lana's Amazon Storefront..

Clothing

The better they look, the better they sell Please take time to wash and iron your clothes if necessary. Please check for stains, broken zippers, torn hemlines, etc.

We will be checking your items at the store and will not receive any item that is not in excellent condition.

Use small PLASTIC hangers for sizes 4 and below. Use larger PLASTIC hangers for sizes 10 and above. No metal hangers, please! Plastic and wire-coated hangers can be purchased at discount stores. This makes shopping more pleasant for everyone!

This is our Spring/Summer Sale. We will not be accepting Fall/Winter clothing, fall/winter holiday attire, boots other than cowboy/cowgirl boots and rain boots, thick coats, lined jackets, anything fleece, or anything made for cold weather.

Clothing will be categorized into these categories: tops, bottoms, outfits, swimsuits, pajamas, and costumes. When entering your items, it is best to group them by sizes first, then categories.

Please group items together so that they will equal a value of at least $4.00. They need to be pinned together as well so they don't get separated.

All pants must be clipped or pinned to a hanger, not folded over, as they tend to end up on the floor and shoppers want to see the entire pant to purchase.

Safety pin all sets and accessories securely together with pants hung on the back of the shirt at the waist. Both pieces need to be viewable without unpinning them.

Shoes

Shoes are limited to 10 PAIR PER GENDER, PER CONSIGNOR CODE. We will only be accepting Like New shoes. All shoes must be cold weather shoes. No boots or booties, anything with fur or lined. Cowboy/Cowgirl boots and rain boots are okay.
Shoes are tricky to tag, so please follow these guidelines to insure shoes remain together:
1) Write your consignor number and price on masking tape, placing on bottom or inside of both shoes.
2) Safety pin the price tag to a shoe lace or through the shoe eyelet.
3) You may ZIP TIE shoes together or put them in a Zip Lock bag.

Blankets and Bedding

We no longer accept Bedding or bedding sets to our sales. This includes anything with Polyfill such as comforters, pillows, crib bumpers, etc.

No sheet sets larger than twin size will be accepted.

Will not accept any decorative pillows. The only pillows that will be accepted are nursing and maternity pillows.

Toys, Furniture, Equipment

Toy recall information- Due to the high number of toy recalls during the past year, we will be inspecting toys very carefully. We reserve the right to pull any toy that we think might have been recalled. To help us, please do not bring any toys that have been subject to a recall.

Large Little Tikes Toys, Furniture, and Baby Equipment are in high demand! We typically sell 95% of them at our events. Use strong clear packing tape to secure the string part of the tag only to the large item leaving the tag itself free. Please do not stick the barcode label to the item or ziptop bag...only adhere the label to a white string tag.

In addtion, please write your Consignor ID and price of the item on a piece of masking tape and attach to your large toys and children's furniture. This will enable us to sell your item even if the tag comes off!

Bedding

No bedding sets, pillows, thick blankets, or anything with polyfill will be accepted.

Car Seats

Your car seat must have been manufactured within the past five 5 years. It must not be subject to recall or have been in an accident. You may check the following website for current recalls  Car Seat Recalls All seat covers and straps must be thoroughly cleaned. You will be asked to sign a car seat waiver stating your car seat has all the pieces and is in excellent condition and not more than five years old. Car seats will be closely inspected for safety reasons.

Furniture Nook

We accept children's furniture including cribs (see note below), changing tables, rocking chairs, children's beds, dressers, desks, bookcases and tables.

RECENT GOVERNMENT RULING ON CRIBS
"Because of our high regard for the safety of children and in light of the recent ruling by the CPSC, Rhea Lana's Inc. will no longer be accepting ANY cribs manufactured before December 2010. Cribs manufactured between December 2010 and June 28, 2011, must have a certificate of compliance and not be recalled to be consigned with Rhea Lana's. Any crib manufactured after June 28, 2011, and has not been recalled, can be consigned as long as it meets Rhea Lana's quality standards."
